We at LIFE Community believe that children are a gift from God and we take seriously the opportunity and privilege to be a part of your child’s development and spiritual growth. Our nursery is divided into age appropriate rooms that range from birth to age four. Each room is staffed with church volunteers who serve either in the 9:00 AM Sunday School Session each week or in the 10:30 AM Worship Service Session on a rotating basis. Everyone who is a member of LIFE Community Church is encouraged to minister to our families and children by serving in the nursery. The purpose of the nursery department is to provide a safe, loving, fun and comfortable environment for children. To accomplish this we ask that workers walk, hold, play, and share the love of our Lord with each child.

Basic Policies and Guidelines
AGE-GRADED CLASSROOMS
Our nursery is divided into age appropriate classrooms that range from birth to three. The church-wide promotion takes place in September; however, we may promote within our department depending upon size and space issues throughout the year. Your child's room assignment is available at the Preschool kiosk.
SICKNESS AND DISEASE
To help us provide a healthy environment, we ask that you do not leave your child in the nursery if you observe any of the following syptoms:
Runny Nose (green or yellow) • Fever • Vomiting • Sore Throat • Croup / excessing • coughing • Diarrhea • Pink Eye • Discharge in or around the eye(s) • Rash
We will not knowingly accept a sick child. If your child develops a fever or other similar symptom while in our care, we will page you so that you may take your little one home to care for them.
SIGN-IN / SIGN-OUT PROCEDURES
When dropping your child off, you will be given a pager and asked to sign them in on the sign-in sheet provided. Upon returning to the nursery to pick up your child, you MUST turn in the pager before the child can be released. You will also need to sign your child out. Please do not have siblings or other children come to pick up your child unless they have a pager. Nursery workers will not allow your child to leave unless a pager has been turned in. This system is to ensure the safety of each child in our care. It is not intended to inconvenience anyone.
Suggestions for the diaper bag. Please LABEL and pack your child's diaper bag with the following items:
• 4 to 6 diapers or 2 to 3 pull-ups
• bottle or spill-proof sippy cup
• complete change of clothing, including socks and underwear
Please refrain from bringing toys from home. All infant toys in the nursery are washed after each use. However, if you do bring a spcial toy that helps your child feel secure, please make sure that it is clearly labeled with your child's name.
FOOD AND MEDICINE
Please inform the nursery workers how to prepare your infants bottle and/or food. A snack of goldfish, animal crackers, pretzels, or cheerios and water is given to all toddlers unless parents request otherwise. Please inform the nursery worker on duty if your child has ANY type of allergies. Due to state regulations, volunteers are not allowed to administer medication.
