SWISH Children’s Ministry

MINISTRY LEVEL -Expanded
The goal of Life Community Children's Ministries is to partner with parents in helping their children in their spiritual growth. Our passion is to reach children and help them experience a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We understand that the most critical years of a person's character development are the early childhood years, therefore we take the opportunity in teaching your children about God very seriously. Our children's ministry staff are men and women who have a heart for God and a love for children. Jesus reveals His heart for children when He says, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Each of our children's ministries aids us in accomplishing the five purposes of our church: evangelism, discipleship, ministry, worship and fellowship. Each one has a critical design for producing young followers of Christ. It is our desire to assist children in developing a passion for Jesus Christ that will continue to grow throughout their entire lives.

Deaf Ministry
CONTACT - Felicia Newton / 434-9708
MINISTRY LEVEL Entry & Expanded
The Signs of Praise Deaf ministry began by providing interpreters in a hearing environment, so the hearing impaired could be involved in our services.  We continue to provide interpreters in all the church activities, but we have had a vision for many years for the hearing impaired to have services more catered to their own culture.  We are finally seeing the fruition of many years of prayer and dreaming.  The hearing impaired now have a Bible study that is led by one of their own each Wednesday night, as well as a teacher-signed Bible study on Sunday mornings.  More recently we have begun a quarterly hearing impaired service that is well attended and continues to outgrow its “space” each time we meet.  In these services the hearing impaired are able to share in leading worship, testimonies, prayer requests and prayer, drama, and the actual planning and implementation of the service.  A speaker who is Deaf or specifically trained to minister to that culture most often preaches in the language of the people.  We are seeing lives changed and people stepping up to serve the Lord as a result!  What a blessing it is to see God answer prayer on behalf of this ministry over the years and continue to grow it!

And for this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me." The ultimate goal of Women’s Ministry at Life Community Church is to be a tool used by God to bring each woman to perfection in Christ. That goal will be achieved only when the Word of God is our foundation and the love of God permeates every decision and action.
